Book Review

Title: The Caring Tree

Publisher: Abad Ceria Enterprise

Author: Sheikh Hassan Seylan 'Abad

Illustrator: Raihan Munif Bahasun

Sole distributor: Pekan Ilmu Publications Sdn. Bhd.

Synopsis/Blurb:
The book is about a young boy who has a tree for comfort. As he grows older, his needs change. From playing with the tree, he starts by plucking of fruits from the tree, sells them, and buys toys. As he gets older, he takes more from the tree. Finnaly, when he becomes old, the tree has nothing left to give him. The man says,"I don't need much now, just a place to rest". He then lays down in the roots of the tree. Then the tree begins to cry in happiness. I reccomend this book to everyone. It deserves a stand innovation.

Moral:
The moral of the story is the fact that, we pester our parents too much. They give, but we just keep on taking. All they get in return is probably a lifetime in an Old Folk's Home. Imagine the tree as our parents, and us as the child. We need to give back in return. Our parents are the ones who give us our wants and needs. They work so hard, and every drop of sweat on their face goes into getting money, and paying for our needs. If I were you, I would start giving back and thank my parents for the things they have sacrificed to put food on the table.
