Book Review:

The book was very satisfying. It was illustrated in full colour and was easy to understand. The storyline was very good and has a fair share of moral values. I enjoyed the book very much and I would reccomend it to anyone who likes to read good books. I give a two-thumbs-up for this wonderful book!

Why do we have to love our parents?

Many people ask me, "Why do we have to love our parents?"
I stare back at them, I frown and say, "Don't you love your parents? They sacrifice everything for us! They are always around to keep us safe!"

So, I decided to come up with this acrostic poem:

P: They PROVIDE all the love, care and things that we need.
A: They are always ATTENDING to our needs.
R: We can always RELY on them for help.
E: They are EVERYTHING to us.
N: They NEVER let you down.
T: They TOLERATE our annoyance.
S: They SACRIFICE many things just to put a smile on our face.

And that is why I think we should love our parents.

My Caring Tree

From left: Me, my father, my mother, my eldest sister.
Bottom: My older sister

My father has worked so hard just to put food on the table. I appreciate every drop of sweat put in his work.

My mother has always cooked food for us . She loves us very much and so do I.

My sisters have helped me in EVERY project and I can't say anything else but a nice, warm THANK YOU.

I will promise to love my family the way they are. Although they aren't perfect, but they're perfect enough for me.

My Vacation!!!

Ah, yes. Vacation. It is my favourite time of year. I bet it is everyone's favourite time of year. Without them, we would all be so miserable. I like to believe that there is a time for work and play.

Anyways, back to the subject. During my holidays, my parents had decided to go to either Kuantan or Pulau Pinang. We all had a vote, and Pinang won. I happily ran to my room and packed my bags for the trip. Although the trip was four days away, i packed everything by nightfall. I couldn't sleep that night as my enthusiasm got the better of me.

When the day came, I put my things in the boot and ran into the car. I was so excited, I didn't sleep the whole ride there! When we reached the hotel, i looked up at the shining sign that said: Holiday Inn. The moment i set foot into the hotel, i knew we were going to have the best time ever.

We checked into our rooms and..........the room was amazing. The room had great taste. There were red curtains, fluffy pillows, three clean and white beds, and of course, the usual television sets. We were given channels such as Disney Channel(my sister's favourite), Discovery Channel(my favourite) and others.

The hotel also came with many facilities. Such as the swimming pool, arcade room and many more. We also went shopping, but i didn't join(because i do not enjoy shopping). We mostly use the swimming pool. After 3 days, me and my family were quite tan..........but the real pain was the sun burn. My shoulders were experiencing unimaginable pain.

When it was time to leave, i sadly packed my bags got into the car and just listened to music. I was sad for leaving but happy for having a great holiday. I enjoyed my holiday very much!

A Letter to a Character

Dear Caring Tree,

How are you getting on? Me here, I'm just as 'fit as a fiddle'. It has been long since i have ever written to you, i do apologise. By the way, how is the boy? I have heard that he has stopped playing with you. I feel much pity for you. If there is anything i can do, please tell. I would also like to know how to be caring and loving like you.

I feel that i'm just too cruel and greedy. I have began to act like a 'scrooge'. I need help to change. Don't you ever feel that way at times? I also admire the fact that you keep on giving. Though you give, you should not try to give too much. If you give to much, you could end up with nothing. Everyone should get their fair share.

Well, it is late. This is all i can write. My eyes are getting heavy. Please reply soon. All the best. Bye.

Your friend,
Ian
